INSURE YOUR KNOWLEDGE 2019
The Department in Kragujevac students of Informatics in the competition among eight teams from Serbia qualified for the finals of the contest “Insure your knowledge 2019”. The competition organized by the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Belgrade University, was held in Belgrade on February 18th and 19th 2019.
In the final, a case study was conducted and solved in two areas: increasing the awareness about insurance among youth and students, and insurance of employed people. The Department in Kragujevac team was praised for original ideas.
EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR OF SCASSS
The Department in Kragujevac students attended SCASSS (Student Conference of Academies of Applied Studies Serbia) educational seminar which was held at Zlatibor from 12th to 15th December 2017. The topic of the seminar was: "Strengthening the capacity of student representatives".
Our students attended lectures on the new Law on higher education, professional practice and dual education. The most memorable lectures were about Erasmus + projects and making a first impression in business communication. The excellent organization of SKASSS seminar has been an incentive for Department in Kragujevac students to take part in future events of this kind.
BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2018
On the anniversary of the Department in Kragujevac foundation, the Student Parliament organized the Basketball Tournament 3x3. The tournament was held on December 1st and 2nd 2018.
Eight teams participated in the tournament, and the most successful was the team "Rangers". Medals were handed to the members of the winning team at the anniversary ceremony at the Department in Kragujevac.
For the needs of sports activities of its students, the Department in Kragujevac has rented a sports hall at Polytechnic school in Kragujevac. Students can use it on Sundays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for all sports activities, except small football.
HTML, CSS AND JAVASCRIPT COURSE
Since 17.11.2018, the Department in Kragujevac, together with the Student Parliament has organized training cycles that include:
- The basics of HTML, CSS and code validation.
- Advanced HTML and CSS techniques.
- Introduction to JavaScript - the basics of programming in JavaScript.
The course lasts for three months and the attendees receive certificates upon completion.
WEB-SITE: SECOND TECHNICAL SCHOOL
Our friends from Second Technical School from Kragujevac asked us to help them to create their website. To work on this project, the following students were selected: Branko Todorović and Marko Kovačević, second year students, and Darko Vidić and Janko Đusić, third year students, from the study program Informatics.
At the first team meeting, it was decided to create new presentation in popular CMS system (Content Management System) of WordPress. To be able to complete the project properly, the Department in Kragujevac students had not-only to possess know-how on web design and content work, but to work with server, FTP transactions, DNS settings, and have vast knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.
COMPETITION IN SOLVING ALGORITHMS AND LOGICAL PROBLEMS
The Student Parliament organized a competition in solving algorithms and logical problems on April 30th 2018 at the premises of the Department in Kragujevac.
The main prize to the winning team was a trip to Višijada (College games and competitions) in Bulgaria. The team with the code name "#Tarabica" won the competition. The second place was won by the "GAS" team, made up of students of the first year of the study program Informatics who received USB Flash memory as a reward.
MOTOR SHOW 2018
On March 26th 2018, the Department in Kragujevac organized a student trip to the Car Show 2018 - "DDOR BG CAR SHOW". Special interest was shown by students from the study program Road Traffic Engineering, who brought positive impressions from the fair.
